Buy from the operator or transit agency that runs your route. Station ticket offices, ticket machines and official apps all sell monthly passes.
In the UK they are called season tickets. Some countries call them commuter passes.
Professional insight
Commuters count real travel days in the month first. A five day week overstates it.
- Holidays and remote work days cut the saving.
- Some passes limit trips to two per day.
- Fast or premium trains are often excluded.
- Employer schemes may pay with pre-tax salary.
