Professional insight

Skin care counters match the patch to the spot. Plain suits open heads. Microneedle suits deep bumps.

  • Plain hydrocolloid works best after a whitehead has opened.
  • Thin edges stay put better overnight.
  • Medicated patches add actives like salicylic acid.
  • Mixed size packs cover chin and nose spots.

Common questions

Do pimple stickers pop pimples?
No. They absorb fluid and cover the spot.
Can I wear makeup over them?
Thin clear patches often sit under makeup. Test first.
Are they the same as blister plasters?
Both use hydrocolloid, but pimple patches are smaller and thinner.
