Professional insight
Nail techs judge press ons by fit at the sidewalls and cuticle. A poor fit lifts fast.
- Pick a kit with at least 10 sizes.
- Thin, flexible tips hug curved nails better.
- Adhesive tabs suit a few days, glue suits weeks.
- Gel coated tips resist chipping more than plain plastic.

Sizing
- 1Lay each tip over your bare nail before gluing.
- 2Choose the size that covers sidewall to sidewall.
- 3Go one size smaller if it touches the skin.
- 4File the sides if a tip is slightly too wide.
- 5Lay the chosen sizes out in finger order.
How to use it
- 1Wash hands and dry nails fully.
- 2Push back cuticles and lightly buff the shine off.
- 3Wipe each nail with alcohol to remove oils.
- 4Apply a thin layer of glue or a tab.
- 5Press the tip down at an angle from the cuticle.
- 6Hold firm pressure for 20 to 30 seconds.
Care
To remove, soak fingers in warm soapy water or acetone. Never pry them off, as this peels the nail layers.
Clean old glue off reusable tips with a file. Store each set in its labeled tray.
